For the duration of this year's Waterloo Festival, Storyradio will be our resident storytellers. With a story every two weeks, Storyradio will be producing this creative series with a Waterloo theme.
The third feature is The Invisibles, by Tatum Anderson (click here to listen!). It tells of Tatum's time as an inpatient at St Thomas's Hospital.
Tatum Anderson is a journalist and writer from London. She has just received an MA In Creative Writing at Birkbeck, University of London and will begin a PhD there in the autumn. She has recently completed her first novel, Bad Material, about Jamaican soldiers in the First World War and is writing her second, Mengo Baby.
The story was read by actor Miranda Harrison.
The Invisibles was produced by Martin Nathan. Martin Nathan has worked as a labourer, showman, pancake chef, fire technician, and a railway engineer. His short fiction has been published by Tangent Press, HCE and Grist and his poetry has appeared in Finished Creatures, Erbacce and Aesthetica. His novel – A Place of Safety is published by Salt Publishing.
