Our creative partners #8: Morley College London

Waterloo Festival thrives on creative partnerships, on bringing professionals from the world of arts and music to collaborate with and showcase their wonderful work to our communities in Waterloo, Lambeth and - thanks to the marvels of the internet - elsewhere.

This time, we hear from Morley College London about their current activities in reaction to the current situation. Through Morley College London, we have been collaborating with Morley Radio on Festivalcast, the Waterloo Festival's podcast series.

Stay At Home With Morley

Morley College London has launched a new online initiative to support our communities during these uncertain times. At Home with Morley is a brand new site with free content curated to support wellbeing during this period of lockdown. Keep your brain and body active, and stay connected with the Morley community while socially distancing.

At Home with Morley features interviews with members of the Morley community, top tips for working from home and adjusting to life indoors, and ways to keep well, keep busy and keep learning. You can listen to Morley Radio, watch performances, Ha’penny Lectures and Lunchtime Concerts, read articles and interviews, and share lockdown life with the Morley Community on our social media channels.

London may be in lockdown, but Morley will always be where London enjoys learning. So while you’re enjoying your online courses from the comfort of your own home, you can listen, watch, read and share At Home with Morley:

  • Watch live and recorded performances by our tutors, take part in how-tos and get the kids involved with our Science for Children series. Our much-loved Lunchtime Concerts have gone online; join us every Tuesday at 1pm on the Morley College London Facebook page for a musical interlude.

  • Listen to your favourite shows and discover new content with Morley Radio. Enjoy chats with the Morley community in the Co(v)piing Diaries, stay up to date with the latest from all our sites with Ask the Principal and soundtrack your day with our specially curated playlists.

  • Read our latest good news stories, how-to articles and top tips for keeping brain and body active during this time of social distancing. Get to know members of the Morley community over a cuppa with our ‘Coffee with…’ interviews, and enjoy creative and opinion pieces exploring this time.

Share your experiences with us too! Follow us on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Youtube to stay connected. Contact editorial@morleycollege.ac.uk to pitch an article, share your thoughts or submit your idea for staying home and having fun At Home with Morley.
